*Well, I know I said I'd post on Operating Systems in this post...but I've got some more research to do into the New linux OS i'm going to compare to XP called (Ubuntu...Linux for Humans) so just lay chilly...but while that simmers w/ research I just had to get this one off of my brain, it's been itching to get posted since i thought of it last week.*
onto the subject:
Now most of you know what the equation means right?
E=mc2 means....Energy= Mass x (Velocity of light ^2) *speed of light for normal speak*
So you're thinking what in the Hell does this have to do with me and how I live my life. Everything.
Let's first break it down so we can understand the concept, then we'll apply it, stay w/ me it's a big concept to wrap your brain around.
Energy=Mass, this is stated clearly by the equation, This is stating that Mass is made of Energy, Matter has Mass, so if Energy gives an object it's Mass, then it is abundantly clear that Matter is Energy. So now we know part of the equation Matter is made of Energy, which means the Mass of anything is the result of the amount of Energy/Matter making the object up. You for example have a certain mass, hopefully a relatively healthy one in relation to age and height. Your Mass is the result of Matter that makes you up, the Matter is made of Energy...YOU are Energy *that's taking it a bit extreme but by line of thought it makes sense*
Next: Velocity of Light^2
Since it's the same thing twice we're going to deal with one thing in this part: Light.
What is light exactly? It is...yup you guessed it, Energy. Light comes in various forms as well like: Radio, Microwave, Infrared, Visible Light, Ultraviolet, Xray, Gamma. All these are found on The Light Spectrum and these forms are the various forms Energy/light manifests itself throughout the spectrum thus giving them distinct qualities.
so that's one fact: Every light you've ever seen...or not seen, is on ONE spectrum, that's it...remember that, it's important later.
Back to Energy=Matter/Mass
To Help you better understand how Energy = Matter think of it like Ice/Water/Steam, they are all the Same thing just different forms of the same thing, matter/energy/different forms of matter are all the same thing, just different forms.
*think about that for a minute then go on*
There is this other Spectrum called the Energy Spectrum, since we've already concluded that Energy=Matter/Mass, and it's understood there are different forms of matter, just like light, all Matter is on the Energy Spectrum.
a final example: A grain of sand. By applying the grain of sand into the M (the mass of the sand) of this equation then multiplying that by the Velocity of light squared the energy needed to equal the grain of sand is so great that No bomb on Earth can equal the force of it.

What does E=mc2 mean to you as a Human?
Remember those two spectrums...the Light and Energy? Everything you've ever experienced in your life is on those spectrums, no not love or emotions, but without matter you wouldn't be here to have those emotions.
Everything you've ever seen, Any noise you've heard was created by something on the energy spectrum, and the light by which your life has been viewed and/or affected is all on One Spectrum. All those memories you have....2 Spectrums.
Your Life is made of Two Spectrums...kind of Simplified isn't it?

Albert E. was not a genius who magically thought up this equation, he was a persistent man who was brave enough to question the accepted laws of science during his time. Not to say he wasn't smart, but more so it was his way of thinking, and courage that got him as far as he went. The reason that e=mc2 came to be was he began to wonder if a man were traveling through space at the speed of light holding a mirror at arms length what would he see? He pondered this question...for 10 years until he decided to publish a 3 page report on this newly 'discovered' equation. It was believed at the time that Time and Distance were constant however light was not considered Constant. Albert decided that Light was constant...thus the C in the equation for constant. He later discovered that time and distance were not constant but variable, totally spitting in the face of hundreds of scientists. 20 years after his published paper the technology became available to put his equation to the test, and it was proven scientifically true. NO difficult equations for him or mathematics, just simple finding answers to his questions.
